The Letter of Paul to
PHILEMON
Chapter 1
Paul, a Prisoner of Yeshua, The Anointed One, and Timothy, a Brother: To Philemon, the dearly loved, and a worker who is with us, 2 and to Aphia, the dearly loved, and to Archippus, a worker who is with us, and to The Church which is in your house.
Grace be with you, and Peace, from God, Our Father, and from Our Lord Yeshua, The Anointed One.
I give thanks to My God, always, and I remember you in my prayers; 5 behold, from the time that I heard of your Faith and Love which is yours toward Our Lord Yeshua, and toward all The Holy Ones, 6 that there might be a Communion of your Faith, giving fruits in work, and in the knowledge of all good things, which are for you in Yeshua, The Anointed One.
For, there is great Joy for you, and encouragement, because, by your Love, the bowels of The Holy Ones have been refreshed.
Because of this, there is for me a great boldness in The Anointed One, that I should give a Command unto you what is proper.
Yet, because of Love, I ask it, inquiring from you, even I, Paul, I who am now old, as you know, yet, also a Prisoner of Yeshua, The Anointed One.
And I inquire from you about my son, whom I bore in my chains; Onesimus, 11 that one who once wasn't useful to you, yet now, even for you, also for me, he is greatly useful.
And I have sent him to you; yet, as if he were my own child, thus receive him.
For, I have been desiring that I might hold onto him, so that he should be serving me, in place of you, in the chains of The Gospel.
Yet, without your counsel I haven’t wanted to do a thing, that which wasn’t according to force, but rather, your good desire.
But perhaps, even because of this, he departed for a period of time, so that you might take hold of him forever.
From now on, not as a slave, but rather, better than a slave; a beloved brother of mine, how much more so yours, both in the flesh, and in Our Lord.
If you therefore are my partner, you must receive him as you would me.
And if there is something which he has made lacking, or owing, reckon this to me.
I, Paul, have written in mine own hand: I will repay. Of course, I shouldn't say unto you that even your soul you owe to me!
Truly, my brother, let me be refreshed by you in Our Lord. Refresh my bowels in The Anointed One.
Because I am confident of your obedience to me, I have written to you, and I know that even more than what I say, you will do.
Now, at once, also prepare a guest house for me, for, I hope that by your prayers I will be given unto you.
Pray in regards to the well being of Epaphras, a captive who is with me in Yeshua, The Anointed One, 24 and Marcus, and Aristarchus, and Demas, and Lucas, my helpers.
The Grace of Our Lord Yeshua, The Anointed One, be with your spirit, my brothers. Amen.
